Our Story
Western Sydney Family Day Care, a service of Catholic Care Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, has been supporting children and families since 1979. Formerly called Baulkham Hills Family Day Care, we refreshed our brand in 2026 to reflect our growing service and our commitment to offering an alternative to traditional care across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
We take pride in personalised, small-group care, where educators often see families grow through generations and become an extension of the family. Our warm, caring community gives children of all ages – from babies to 12 years – the chance to gain confidence, develop skills, build friendships, and thrive.

Our Team
Our Family Day Care Coordination Team is made up of experienced, passionate and highly qualified staff dedicated to supporting children, families and educators across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
With extensive experience in early childhood education and care, our team works closely with home-based family day care educators to provide guidance, resources and ongoing professional development, ensuring every child receives safe, nurturing and high-quality early learning experiences.
We believe strong partnerships with families are at the heart of great care. That’s why everything we do is focused on building trust, supporting children’s development, and helping families feel confident in the care their child receives.

Our Educators
Our Family Day Care educators are dedicated early childhood professionals who demonstrate exceptional commitment, passion and care in supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing every day. Working closely with families, they create nurturing, engaging and inclusive home-based learning environments where each child can thrive.
As small business owners, Family Day Care educators balance the responsibilities of running their own service with delivering high-quality education and care. Their hard work, professionalism and drive enable them to provide flexible, personalised care that meets the unique needs of children and families in their communities.
Supported by the scheme, Western Sydney Family Day Care, educators receive ongoing guidance, training and monitoring to help them meet their obligations under the laws, regulations and quality standards governing early childhood education and care in New South Wales and Australia. Together, we work in partnership to ensure services remain safe, compliant, and focused on achieving the best and safest outcomes for children.
Family Day Care is governed by the Education and Care National Regulations & Law and the National Quality Standards including the Early Years Learning Framework and My Time Our Place Framework.
