Who Can Become an Educator?
Before you begin, you’ll need the following qualifications and documents. Don’t worry if this sounds complicated – we will guide you through everything step by step.
Minimum of Certificate III in Children’s Services (or equivalent)
First Aid, Anaphylaxis & Asthma certificates (3-year validity)
CPR Certificate (1-year validity)
Working With Children Check (for you and all adult household members)
Medical certificate stating you are fit to work with children
Landlord permission if renting your home
Public Liability Insurance
Safe home environment and desire to run your own business
National Criminal History Check (less than 6 months old)
PRODA Registration Authority (RA) number
